Jessica Prouty Band

July 20, 2013

When you take four unique, but inspired musicians and unite them, you can’t expect much better results than that of the Jessica Prouty Band. The band is composed of four extremely talented members, who pride themselves on having original music that doesn’t conform to any specific genre or stereotype. For example, Jessica Prouty, the lead vocalist and bassist, enjoys Southern Rock music, while Cody Nilsen, the guitarist and backup vocalist, considers himself a “blues man”. Together, the band blends a variety of influences and creates a modern sound that can only be described as one thing – the Jessica Prouty Band. And as if their music isn’t a satisfactory testament to their talent, three of the Jessica, Cam, and Aaron are attendees of the Berklee College of Music.

The band formed in February of 2007, and now, over five years later, they are going stronger than ever! They have earned radio time on stations such as WAAF, WFNX, Boston’s 92.5 The River, and WATD. JPB has also played at various venues and events throughout New England including Nectar’s, Church Club, Club Texas, Six Flags Amusement Park, Patriot’s Place, the Hard Rock Boston, and Maine’s Lobster Festival.  Only confirming their success is their participation in events and contests such as the John Lennon Educational Tourbus Daddy’s Junky Music Rockin’ Roland Battle of the Bands, NAMM’s SchoolJam USA, Children’s Hospital Boston Notes for the Cure Battle for Best Song, Little Stevens Underground Garage Teen Vogue Battle of the Female-fronted bands, and the New England Music Awards.

You can see the Jessica Prouty Band perform LIVE at the 2013 Topsfield Fair. Find them on the Trianon Stage at 8PM on Saturday, October 5th! Plus, make sure to check out their Facebook and Youtube, and RSVP to the concert event on Facebook!

Think this band looks familiar?  Jessica, Cam, and Cody partnered with us for our 2011 Fried Kool-Aid promotion.
