Avalanche Wear

September 21, 2011

We here at the fair love to welcome local companies to display their products. Avalanche Wear is here this year for the first time. The company is locally based but their products can be found at hundreds of retailers across the nation. Avalanche Wear was founded in 1987 by Ron Petrucci and works with his children, Ron and Talia. It is still family owned and operated to this day.

This blogger here personally loves the product that Avalanche Wear sells. I visited their factory store in Lynn last year and found the perfect rain jacket. Water beads and falls off the fabric of their Weather Shield products.

The company sells a superior product that is just as good as, if not better than, their more popular competitors. Their fleece jacket is comparable to the ever popular North Face jackets at a fraction of the price. I was quite warm and comfortable in the jacket when I tried it on.

When at the store, I got the pleasure to speak with the owner’s wife. She was very personable and helpful. She knows everything about her brand and its product and is very passionate about what she does. As a business student, I am quite impressed by the company and their owners. What sets the company apart from their competition is that Avalanche is a family owned local company whose owners have a passion for what they do and what they sell.

For more information on Avalanche Wear products visit their website. Make sure to check out Avalanche Wear at the Topsfield Fair in the Fair Trade Center.  The products at the fair will be 50-70% off wholesale so make sure to stop by the booth and get some great deals on these amazing products!

Also make sure to “Like” them on Facebook for information about new products and updates about the company!
